The COVID-19 outbreak has affected many countries and many people worldwide. Unfortunately, those most affected tend to be the less underprivileged - some are unable to obtain affordable food and supplies due to hoarding; some relying on soup kitchens may not be able to get their food due to a sharp decrease in volunteers. The list goes on...

It's YOUR chance to make a positive impact on your community during this time of uncertainty, panic and inevitable fear.


1) Think of how you are able to help any groups of people being affected by this virus outbreak

2) Implement your idea and make tangible impact

3) Document the entire process of your project, and showcase the impact that you have made. It can be in the form of a video, presentation slides, or a report. It should include:

  • Who was affected by the virus outbreak in your country?

  • What is the objective of your project?

  • How did you help the affected people?

  • What is the long-lasting impact you made?

4) Send your documentation over to by 22 June 2020 (Monday)

5) Watch your inbox! - Winners will be chosen by 26 June 2020 (Friday) and informed via email

  1. This is an individual project. 3 winners with 3 projects will be selected.

  2. Late submissions will not be entertained.

  3. Plagiarism and False Implementation will not be tolerated. The projects submitted must be your idea, and must be implemented personally by you.

  4. The free slot will be for dormitory stay only. Accommodation upgrades will be available upon top-up.

  5. Air tickets, Visa, Travel Insurance and Items not in the itinerary will not be covered. The full list of inclusions and exclusions can be found in the Registration Procedure that will be sent to you upon request.

  6. Upon winning this COVID-19 Project Implementation Competition, you will be required to submit the digital registration form and consent form latest by 3 July 2020. Flight information will also have to be submitted by 10 July 2020.

  7. YA will not be responsible should any uncontrollable circumstances cause the postponement of ASLC 2020. The winner will still keep their slot in the postponed ASLC 2020. Should there be a cancellation of ASLC 2020, the winner will be able to join ASLC 2021 instead.

  8. You agree to let Youth Ambassadors use the documentations submitted however they like.
